An In-Home Newborn Photography Session With Me


Welcoming a newborn into your family is a momentous occasion, one that deserves to be cherished. That’s why many parents opt for a newborn photo session to freeze those precious early moments in time. However, preparing for such a session can seem daunting. What should you buy for it? Where will she take photos? How tidy do things need to be? Don’t worry; I’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick breakdown of what I offer and how I ensure your in-home newborn session goes smoothly:


  • One of the first things I do upon arrival is assess the lighting in your home. Natural light is key for beautiful newborn photos, so I’ll look for the room with the best light and set up our session there. This usually means positioning near a window where soft, diffused light floods the space.
  • I bring along my special posing bag to provide a comfortable and safe spot for your baby during the session. This setup allows me to pose your baby in various adorable positions while ensuring their happiness and safety at all times.
  • I set up the posing bag with what I like to call my little nest. Layers of different fabrics to cacoon baby. These elements help create a cozy and inviting backdrop for portraits, making each image unique and memorable.
  • I provide an entire client wardrobe for you and baby! This includes an array of blankets, wraps, onesies for baby and dresses for you! While your baby’s natural beauty is enough to steal the show, I’ll guide you in selecting outfits that complement the overall aesthetic of the session.
  • Throughout the session, I’ll use gentle techniques to softly swaddle and soothe your baby, ensuring they remain content and comfortable. This helps keep the session relaxed and enjoyable for everyone involved while allowing me to capture those precious moments without interruptions.
  • With everything in place and your baby settled, it’s time to start capturing those fleeting moments. I’ll guide you through various poses and interactions, encouraging natural exchanges and interactions to create authentic and heartfelt images that you’ll cherish for years to come.
