A seasonal journal of creativity, motherhood, and golden light
As the season turns and the air grows crisp, I find myself slowing down—watching the light soften across the day, collecting leaves with my daughter, and leaning into cozy rituals that warm both the home and heart.
This time of year always stirs something in me. Maybe it’s the deep golden hues or the way the sun dances lower across the sky. Maybe it’s the comfort of routine and the call to gather in close. Whatever it is, autumn has become one of my favourite muses—both in my personal life and behind the lens.
Today, I wanted to share a few things that have been inspiring me lately—and give you a peek behind the scenes of my seasonal photography and creative rituals.
A Moodboard Of Wonder
I’ve found myself collecting little glimpses of the season that speak to warmth, nostalgia, and creativity. I’ve gathered them all into a visual journal — a Pinterest moodboard that’s been quietly inspiring my work (and my home life) lately.
Inside, you’ll find:
- Examples of my own work
- The beauty of falling leaves and golden light
- Pumpkin desserts I can’t wait to try
- Poems and artful
- Autumn crafts for little ones — my daughter and I have already been enjoying some of these together
- Styling ideas for cozy layers, warm tones, and textured touches great for not only photography but fashion & interior styling
- A soft, seasonal palette that’s been influencing how I see and shoot this time of year
Recipes and craft activities for your little ones are all included on my Pinterest board — along with plenty of visual storytelling to stir your own inspiration.

What’s Been Inspiring My Sessions
Each year, autumn sessions feel like little love letters. The light leans softer, the trees tell stories in burnt sienna and gold, and families curl into each other just a little more tightly.
This season, I want to incorporate:
- Layered textures – woolen throws, chunky knits, and vintage books
- Natural props – baskets of apples and pears, mirrors that reflect light and wonder, tiny pumpkins and pressed flowers
- Movement and stillness – moments of dance, laughter, and quiet cuddles, all bathed in that unmistakable golden-hour glow
You’ll see glimpses of these in my portfolio and on the Pinterest board, but truly, they come to life most in the presence of the families I photograph.
Let’s Create Something Together
If your heart is stirred by the softness of autumn too—by the light, the textures, the togetherness—I’d love to create something beautiful with you.
